| When the bombs came most of the towns of the island like Hanalei, Lawa'i and Po'ipu were evacuated or obliterated. From that moment on the survivors started living in underground bunkers or moved to the capital of Kapa'a and all these other towns ended completely abandoned. As the years went by these empty settlements suffered many fates, some became completely devoured by vegetation, others became the hive of some strange mutated beast, while a few ones were rebuilt and resettled or became the lair of a gang of raiders.

Many of the locals gather the brass in the search of gunpowder or to use the metal and turn it into collars, masks or even recycle it to create new bullets.

It's one of the biggest docks in all Hawaii and the place itself its so large that some people even consider it a settlement separate to Kapaʻa. The Sons of Kanaloa inside offer ship building and repairing services and has also an open space where adventurers, merchants and fishermen can unload their cargo to sell it. There is also a board were people can seek for oddjobs, quests and even look at wanted people and the reward they carry. They charge a small fee to anyone who wants to dock, use its repairing services or sell on their grounds.

When the bombs fell a great number of people were evacuated but many others stood behind, either because they simply weren't fast enough or because they wanted to riot and loot the city taking advantage of the lack of police and military forces. As generations passed and the situation calmed down people slowly started moving away from the underground bunkers to resettle on the city and nowadays it is pretty populated compared with most of the other settlements of Hawaii, but still it isn't but a shadow of what it once was, more than half of the city is abandoned and only a few places have access to electricity or clean water. Most of the people in there live of craftsmanship and trading.

After the war the locals and military decided to turn these places into graveyards, there are countless of graves surrounding them, graves of both American and Chinese soldiers that died that day. As the years passed these places became shrines of some kind, people came to them to admire the many people that these gun and these heroes saved and pray to their ancestors and these soldiers as if they were guardian angels. When the Brotherhood of Steel came to Hawaii and discovered about these weapons they immediately sent people to investigate and study them, they now plan to reactivate these weapons and use them to target any raider or pirate stronghold, but these weapons are old and complex, and they aren't progressing so far. Since the Brotherhood fears sabotage at the hands of raiders they have created guards and overwatches to avoid anybody outside of their Faction of entering, this has made some of the most superstitious and religious people of the island angry, as they are now unable to pray to their ancestors and guardians.
