Defect of the Character: He is unable to take no for an answer, especially from an inferior being.  He is irrational in his hate for outsiders, sometimes being unable to focus on anything other than his query.

Aspirations: He aspires to bring law and American™ ideals back to the Hawaiian Isles and eventually the entire United States.

Other details: He has never seen or interacted with true desperation for survival, maybe a change in perspective would do him some good.

Background story: Born into a rich East Cost family, his father immediately sent him to the Enclave to bring glory to his family.  Shortly after joining the Enclave, he quickly rose through the ranks and showed incredible aptitude for commanding combat missions.  At age 16 he lead a small strike force and successfully captured a Brotherhood outpost containing vastly superior numbers.  After this victory and others like it (and after his father slipped a few thousand caps under the table), the Enclave saw fit to promote him to Commander and sent him by way of vertibird to assist the debilitated forces of Hawaii.  However, on his way to assist, his vertibird was shot down by a band of raiders, leaving him the sole survivor.  Unfortunately, the water damaged his Enclave ID holotags, leaving no proof of his Enclave affiliation.

Andrew these type of games follow the usual rags to riches pattern, you usually start as a poor weakling and slowly rise to power until you become a rich as hell merciless god of death that can shrug off multiples nukes to the head. Starting with such powerful gear wont be fair so how about this.

The vertibird you were travelling in is shot down and your vehicle spirals onto the open sea, all your equipment sinks down and you end with little more than a small gun and few more things. Don't worry, you will be able to recover your items later on but to do so you will need a submarine or diving equipment.

Your first adventure might be about how you end in a fisher's ship, and from there you can go to a different island or something like that. It's up to you really!

Hey Andrew, I'm here to offer some advice.

Try to explore what your character fear and what he cares about. Is he xenophobic, does everything about the outside terrify him? Has he considered how the people of the wasteland will react to his crusade? Is a stubborn zealot, or is there someone or something that can potentially change his world view?

While your character may be exceptional, I highly doubt he would be given a command based on that. Maybe someone in his rich family bribed a higher officer to get your character a position of power?

Just some things to make you think and flesh out your character some more.
